Adam MacGregor, son of George MacGregor (second son of the Chief) fled to Galloway in 1445 and assumed the name of Adam MackAdam. He had three sons (Neil, Fynlay, and Donald) who all held lands in Ayrshire near their cousins the Griers and the Griersons of Lagg.
